Advice for potential work from at ease job seekers:Visit here http://easyonlinehome-jobs.blogspot.com

don't start working from home until you've read others reviews of the company you inclination to commotion for, or the commotion you want to get involved with, in toto thus you can determine if it's true. efficient are a lot of scams out there! Companies repeatedly do not require a fee to turmoil from home, except for a few exceptions, like LiveOps and Babytobee, which require fees through a training check. These fees are paid to the company doing the background check, however. Business opportunities will force a fee to get started, however.

Look to the preferable vigor Bureau (BBB) to find data on businesses It has info on businesses and charities that are and are not registered with the BBB. You can existence your local BBB or check the USA's or Canada's sites. To search, you need at least the company's advance again sometimes the city further state where the business is located. If you are doomed finding information through the exceptional proposition Bureau, the next best thing is to get done a Google search now the vim. Simply type tbe name of the going into Google. It helps if you know the exact spelling of the business name, but if you don't the correct name will still often come growing in the go into. For example, typing MaryKay consequence Google will still bring up Mary Kay Cosmetics.

There are again several message boards you can go to being information on business opportunities. If you are unable to find any information on the business opportunity or band you're interested imprint getting involved with, you obligatoriness recurrently brochure and post on the confidence part and you will get a bit. only such message board is proposition from Home Mafia. This site contains lowdown on plentiful unequal going from home companies besides business opportunities - and abounding people presuppose posted at odds questions on these companies, inasmuch as your question may already be answered. Work from Home Mafia also has podcasts on disparate hoopla from home material topics that you can listen to true on the site or download to Itunes and listen to them from there, or put them on your Ipod.

Another message instrument that has a lot of dope on haste from home opportunities is Workplace Like Home. undoubted has forums on many of the same companies that bustle from Home Mafia does, plus some that work from national Mafia doesn't have, like Stewart Response Group and Ecallogy.Workplace Like Home however does not have podcasts (at least not that I've been striking to find!)Another reaching to find the authority of a special hoopla from home business is to ask kin you know have worked from local. Sometimes you may not fathom anyone who has worked from home, such as when I got my first job with West Telemarketing. I did asset that it was certified and true led to other whole working from home jobs, some that I have go ahead through previously mentioned methods and other's I've break ground through contacts I've made.

Don't start working frome home until you've make plain others reviews the company you want to work for on the previously mentioned sites. These sites affirm a lot of useful information for people who potentially wantt to commotion from home, not to instance they're a great place to network! Networking, succeeding all, is critical whether you vim from home or out of the home.I can't say it enough - don't start occupation from home until you've read others' reviews of the company you want to work from home for, or the happening you want to get involved secrete. Working from home or having your allow homebased business answerability serve as very noble - people I know that count on been working from home trust been able to spend more circumstance secrete their families and children, not to mention garner gas besides wear and tear on their vehicles. This is especially critical considering the fee of waggish lately!! vim from home has been eminent as me not because I've saved on gas, but I've saved on cab and bus fare since I don't drive due to the fact that I have epilepsy. I've been working from home for about 5 years now, and I score not want to go send to scene outer of the at ease if I can avoid it! I've had profuse positive experiences working from home, however it does require through careful about the companies you apply with, or the online homebased business opportunity you're interested significance pursuing. I hope this article has helped other steam online home based business opportunity seekers, or those that just desire to work from home savor I do!Visit here http://easyonlinehome-jobs.blogspot.com

Tips for recording a quality podcast

Author: Rajiv Agarwal

After editing, mixing and mastering hundreds of podcast, and seeing the same quality issues pop up again and again, I wrote this short guide to help new podcast producers produce better sounding podcasts and not make the same mistakes, which, once recorded, are difficult to fix. These are most essential tips for recording any good podcast.

Format:
Format is one of the most important yet most overlooked aspects of Podcast recording. I am amazed to receive Podcasts recorded in wav 8 bit, 8000khz, or worse on 32 KBps mp3! To give you an idea, this is like packing a chocolate pastry in a matchbox! Nothing much of the original will survive!
I always advice recording in wav format at 44,100, 16 bit. This format renders the best quality for size. But the file size can be huge (1 min recording =10 mb approx). But once it is recorded, a sound engineer can mix, master, eq and polish it up and reduce it a small 15 mb file, ready to upload. This way the saturation and quality of the source is maintained the most and all other process like noise reduction and Eq yield beautiful results. If you are recording in mp3, I would suggest a bit rate of 320 kbps, 44,100 at the least.

Placing the microphone
Placing the microphone or Miking is an elaborate science in itself. If the mic is too close to the mouth, it will cause pops, and bass boost, making the sound muddy or harsh. If it's too far, the voice presence will suffer. It is always a good idea to record a couple of samples with different placements and see what gives the best results. Some basic do's and don't-
1. Keep the microphone as far away as possible from unwanted sound sources like CPU fans, A/c ducts etc.
2. Don't place the microphone directly behind a wall. This will result is reflections and will make the voice echo.
3. Place the microphone directly in front of your mouth, around 4-8 inches away. You can also place the microphone a little higher then your mouth and point it downwards.
4. Always use a pop screen/filter to reduce the explosive breath sounds.

Levels:
As a rule, the recording levels should never cross 0 db. A level higher then 0db causes nasty distortion in your recordings. The best way to avoid it is to do a sample recording and hear it back. Always monitor the levels on your recording software. Low levels can  always be fixed, but distortion is nearly impossible to fix. My advice; don't record at the maximum levels. Reduce them a little and always check that your recording has no distortion. Or better, if you can apply a compressor in the signal chain, it will take care of the peak levels.

Location:
An acoustically treated room is the best place for recording. Though ideal, it might not be available to all podcasters. Never record in rooms which have lot of metallic furniture/items or a completely empty room. These will reflect the sound waves and will result in bad recordings. A room with carpet and wooden furniture is a better choice.
Make sure the location you choose has minimum ambient noises. Fans, exhausts, noisy CPU all contribute to broadband noise. Make sure that there are no phone ringing, the neighbor's dog or the doorbell!

Happy recording!!

Setting the Green Standard in Office Design at Science Centre

Author: Jane Shepherd

Sustainable office design specialist Morgan Lovell has transformed a 1950s office building described prior to the fit out as a 'black hole' into a bright and inspirational workplace, which measures up to demanding green standards.

Morgan Lovell's fit out at Charles Darwin House in London has achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating - putting the workplace in the top tier of green office environments in the UK.

Charles Darwin House is home to the British Ecological Society, the Society for Experimental Biology and the Biochemical Society.

Dr Hazel Norman executive director of the British Ecological Society, said: "We are delighted that BREEAM Excellent has been achieved.

"It was not an easy objective as it involved transforming a 1950s office which needed a significant amount of refurbishment.

"When we first came to view the building it was a bit of a black hole with little natural light.

"The transformation now means that all 70 staff across five floors enjoy access to natural light and the stunning ground floor reception and conference suite now benefit from full length windows."

Morgan Lovell's team combined inspirational design and the latest in environmental innovation to create the new workplace.

These values are reinforced visually by the first thing visitors see - a bespoke plastic resin reception desk embedded with lush green grass.

The toilet area incorporates two new showers and lockers designed for use by staff who have been encouraged to cycle to work. To support that policy, the office car park has been transformed into an area with covered bike racks.  Parking for cars is no longer available.

All toilets and sinks are adapted to ensure low water usage and a water monitoring and leak detection system alerts staff to any problems.

Dr Norman added: "The upper floors provide great office space and the staff have been extremely positive about the move here.

"The whole refit was delivered on time and on budget and the building is now a wonderful asset for the three societies involved."

To achieve BREEAM Excellent in this older building, Morgan Lovell relied on the findings from the transformation of its own London headquarters - a 1960s office block previously viewed as an environmental write off - into an award-winning green workplace. The office, located in Noel Street, was developed to create a blue print for the future in sustainable office design - paving the way for the conversion of existing building stock into low carbon environments.

In 2008, the project achieved the highest BREEAM fit out environmental assessment score in the UK for an office refurbishment, achieving BREEAM Excellent and a clutch of awards from industry bodies including BIFM and BRE Global.

David Henderson, managing director of Morgan Lovell said: "We relied heavily on the findings from the Noel Street project to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating in so challenging an environment at Charles Darwin House.

"The process is very rewarding. Creating a green office not only creates a lower carbon environment, it also supports an organisation's CSR policy and delivers significant savings on energy bills that makes the process cost-effective in the longer term."

Dr Hazel Norman, gives an insight into how inspirational design has helped achieve the challenging green standard in a Morgan Lovell podcast covering BREEAM.

Top Tips to Make Your Podcasts Rock

Author: Andrew Green

If you are thinking of making podcasts for your loyal website fan base, you are geared towards the right direction in keeping your visitors even closer and begging for more. Podcasts are becoming more recognized by regular computer users and mobile users alike, so adding some podcasts to your blog or website should be worth the effort without any fear of nobody listening to them.

One of the most important things to take note is that the quality of your podcasts should never be overlooked. If your podcasts are stale and boring, it may drive away people from visiting your podcast feeds ever again or even worse, drive them away from your website all together. In order to get more subscribers into your podcasts, you need to use your creativity in making your podcasts rock.

Here are some tips to turn your podcasts into bursts of entertainment:

Set a scope for your target audience

This should be easy if you already have an active website with daily visitors because most likely, your website should have a theme. All you need to do is to make your podcasts correlate to the entire theme and subject of your website so you can meet the expectations of your visitors. There is no use of tackling random topics in your podcasts and relying on luck to attract people. Set boundaries of the topics being covered and amplify them to increase the appeal.

Check out your competitors

Most likely, the topics that you'll be discussing in your future podcasts will be similar to other websites that have ongoing podcasts. Observe how they get the word out and find any weaknesses in the performances. Even if you think they are the best, you can always take a different path and present in new and creative ways to stir up a crowd of your own.

Make use of transcripts

One of the limitations of podcasts is that search engines cannot track them since they are powered by audio and video. It doesn't matter what keywords you use since search engine bots cannot listen to podcasts individually and index them properly. The best workaround for this is to write transcripts so the search engine bots can crawl on them. Having the full transcript alongside your podcast can attract more visitors from the search engines rather than having each podcast summarized in a small header.

Devise a consistent schedule

As a webmaster, you have full control of when you want your podcasts to be. Use a website statistics tool to determine at what time your visitors log in so you can make the most out of your presentations. Announce your podcast schedules and make sure you commit to the times promised without any delay. Failing to meet expectations can bring forth a negative image to your entire channel.

The main factor in making your podcasts rock is your creativity. Try to make it unique and give it some wow factors to dazzle your audience. Once you are convinced with the quality of your podcasts, start to spread the word and advertise it all over the place using many of the popular social networking sites. Generate a buzz and get your podcasts noticed and you'll have some rocking sessions with your podcasts.

Is Your Church Social? Part 17 - Podcasts - What Is A Podcast?

Author: Kurt Steinbrueck

We've been looking at various elements of the social media.  So far we've discussed video sharing on sites like YouTube, and Social Networking sites like Facebook and Twitter.  Now I want to get all high-tech on you.  It's not really all that high-tech, but it is a bit more technical than Facebook or Twitter.  Then again most things are.  We're talking about podcasts.  So, what's a podcast?

What's A Podcast?
A podcast is like a pre-recorded online radio show.  While the idea and technology for distributing pre-recorded content online has been around for over a decade, it did not become popular with the masses until Apple's iTunes became popular and the use of mp3 players became popular.  The most popular mp3 player?a€¦none other than the iPod.  Thus the term a€œpodcastinga€ (iPod broadcasting) took hold.  Though, if you prefer not to associate the technology with the iPod, you could simply call it, a€œsyndication of pre-recorded audio capable of being automatically loaded to an mp3 player.a€  I do want to clarify that while the term podcast seems to indicate that this is for iPods (and I'm sure Apple wants it that way), podcasting works with pretty much any mp3 player.  It' doesn't have to be an iPod.

What Makes A Podcast A Podcast?
The key to podcasting that makes it different from other forms of audio sharing is the use of RSS.  RSS (Really Simple Syndication) allows you to post your podcast and your listeners to automatically receive that podcast and have it automatically loaded to their mp3 player.  Without RSS, you're just posting or sending audio.  The key is how easy the distribution is.  Listeners to your podcast don't have to go to your website and they don't have to download the podcast to their computer and then upload it to their mp3 player.  Their mp3 player's software (or iTunes) automatically does all that for them.  All they have to do it plug in their mp3 player and sync it.  This makes podcasting very easy and very portable for the listeners.

What Does This Have To Do With My Church?
Good question.  As with all these technologies, that's up to you, but here are some reasons for your church to consider podcasting.

1. You can easily and cheaply distribute sermons.
2. For many, audio is more engaging than reading (I'm not talking novels here, I'm talking about church related material).
3. The average commute for an American today is around 80 minutes a day.  That's 80 minutes when people are sitting in a cara€¦usually listening to something.
4. Anyone can do a podcast (not just your pastor).
5. The younger generations are into podcasting.
6. You can make your church's podcast available to millions of people.
7. It's freea€¦sort of.  (I'll get into that in a later article.)

iTunes:
A lot of people think that iTunes is simply an online store for music.  You go to iTunes, search for the music you want, and buy it for about 99 cents a song.  Well, yes, you can do that, but iTunes is so much more.  You can find video, movies, TV shows, audio books, radio programs anda€¦Podcasts.  The best part is they offer podcasting for free both to the person who created the podcast and wants to upload it and to the listeners.  So, the total cost of distributing your podcast for both you and your listeners is [POST CONTENT].00, a pretty reasonable price.  Now consider that iTunes is used by hundreds of millions of people.  Sure, you're probably not going to reach hundreds of millions of people, but there is potential to reach a significant number of people and to reach people you would never have come in contact with through other means.

Is FM Radio a Thing of the Past?

Is FM Radio a Thing of the Past?

There is a lot of talk about HD, DAB, as well as satellite and podcasts in listening technology today. With all of the advancements in listening, many people wonder if FM radio will be a thing of the past. The transition to digital from analog broadcasting for television has many people wondering if the transition will occur for listening devices as well.

While advancements are being made in listening technology, most can be reassured that the answer is a€œno,a€ at least for another 11 years or so. In the UK, DAB technology has been introduced as an alternative to FM radio broadcasting. While many listeners enjoy the quality of the digital signal for talk radio, the quality of music is to be desired, and many are still listening to their old stations because the quality is better for now.

Technology is improving rapidly for radio, and with the introduction of HD and Satellite broadcasts, FM radio seems to be phasing out. Realistically, the cost for devices plays a major part in an individual's ability to purchase this kind of technology rapidly enough to create a complete transition.

With FM radio being free and these types of devices being standard in vehicles, it will take quite a while for a transition to occur on a mass level. The signal quality is also a major issue, where our current signal is still viewed as having a better quality for music listening depending on the sophistication of the device that is used.

While the quality of signals for DAB and HD are excellent for certain types of talk stations or music channels, it does not span across all channels or all FM stations, and the transition for many types of stations will be long and tedious. In the UK, 2020 is the most realistic date as to when a transition will occur from analog to digital, but even that date may change depending on how ready individuals are to make that switch.

We are familiar with the length of time for television transitions and the difficulties in getting every person reason for that transition. Many people are not economically able to support purchasing television services on a monthly basis, and others still will not be economically able to purchase radio devices to complete that transition without government help.

Do not worry about any FM transitions happening soon. Enjoy your current stations and keep yourself up to date on listening technology so that you can be prepared either way. There will not be any hurry in worrying about this kind of shift in technology permanently for at least another 11 years.

Make Your Own Podcast: Finding Your Topic

By Jay Jennings

If you've listened to a few podcasts you may have been struck with the idea, "Hey, I'll bet I could do that!" Doing your own podcast isn't hard, but where some people get stuck is right at the very beginning...

"What should my podcast be about?"

There are two ways people usually go about choosing a topic. The first way is to choose something you really love -- something you're very passionate about. This can make a podcast that's really enjoyable to create as well as to listen to. The problem comes in when you decide that it might be a great idea to make some money with your podcast (whether to help pay for hosting or to use for pizza) and you find out the topic you've chosen is too small to really make any money.

The other way to choose a topic is to go to the other end of the spectrum, and to do some research on niches that make a lot of money. Some of the obvious topics are health, golf, mortgages, etc. There's money to be made in those niches. But there's a problem with deciding to do a podcast on mortgages if you're just in it for the money...

...after a few episodes you're likely to experience what's known in the industry as "podfade" -- that's when a podcast just... kind... of... goes... away.

Because even if the niche has the potential to make a lot of money, if it's not something you're interested in, it'll become a drag to create another episode.

So the best way to choose a topic is to go somewhere in the middle. Find a topic you're interested in, but which also has the potential to make some money. (Note: In just about any topic there's usually ways to monetize a podcast, but here I'm talking about the easiest and most sure route).

Let's say you really love collecting root beer bottle caps -- it's your passionate hobby. Starting a podcast with that theme is probably not the best idea -- at least, not if you want a good chance at monetizing your podcast in the future.

Instead, move more toward the middle of the road and maybe do a podcast for collectors of all kinds. Even though you collect root beer bottle caps and someone else collects agates, you both have a common passion -- collecting. You can now do a podcast that will appeal to collectors of all types -- you've broadened your market tremendously.

And on the other end of the scale, if you're starting your own podcast to monetize it right off the bat, choose a topic with money-making potential, but that is also of interest to you. For example, if you like to work around the house you could do a podcast about home improvement. And people who repair their homes are sometimes interested in home mortgages, so there's a way you can tie that big "money-maker" niche into a niche about which you're really passionate.

There's nothing wrong with starting a podcast that you never monetize -- a lot of people get into podcasting for the sheer fun of it and to connect with others who have similar interests. But if you are going to want to monetize your podcast, the time to think about that is at the very beginning, when you're just getting started.
